Max Verstappen makes history with 10 wins in a row

Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing continued their Formula 1 dominance by clinching victory at the Italian Grand Prix, extending Verstappen's record to 10 consecutive wins and securing Red Bull's 15th consecutive race win.

The race saw Verstappen initially trailing pole-sitter Carlos Sainz but relentlessly pressuring the Ferrari driver. On Lap 15, Verstappen's persistence paid off, as he capitalized on Sainz's mistake at the first chicane and executed an audacious pass around the outside of the Curva Grande.

From there, Verstappen maintained a comfortable lead, securing yet another F1 record. Behind him, his teammate Sergio Perez successfully defended his position against fierce competition, claiming the runner-up spot and helping Red Bull achieve their sixth one-two finish of the season.

The Ferraris of Sainz and Charles Leclerc engaged in an intense battle for the final podium position, with Sainz ultimately prevailing. Their wheel-to-wheel duel thrilled fans as they fought until the very end, with Leclerc's late lock-up into the first chicane on the final lap sealing Sainz's third-place finish.

Mercedes, on the other hand, had a solid outing with George Russell and Lewis Hamilton securing fifth and sixth places, despite both drivers incurring five-second time penalties. Russell received his penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage during a skirmish with Esteban Ocon of Alpine. Hamilton's penalty resulted from a clash with McLaren's Oscar Piastri at the second chicane, although he used a different tire strategy to recover ground later in the race.

Verstappen and Red Bull's relentless success this season continued to reshape the Formula 1 landscape, making them formidable contenders for the championship.
