Ducati unvail Blockbuster line up of Bagnaia and Marquez for 2025 MotoGP Season

Ducati Unveils Bagnaia and Marquez's 2025 MotoGP Machine in Italy

Ducati has officially launched its 2025 MotoGP challenger, the GP25, at a grand event in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy. The unveiling marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in MotoGP, as six-time world champion Marc Marquez made his first official appearance as a factory Ducati rider alongside reigning team leader Francesco Bagnaia.

A New Era for Ducati

The event, attended by Ducati’s top management, including general manager Gigi Dall'Igna, team principal Davide Tardozzi, and CEO Claudio Domenicali, showcased the latest iteration of the Desmosedici in its signature red livery. This machine is expected to continue Ducati’s dominance in the premier class, following a successful 2024 season.

Marquez’s arrival at the factory squad comes after a remarkable debut campaign with Gresini Racing, where he piloted a year-old Desmosedici to three grand prix victories and a third-place finish in the championship. His switch from Honda to Ducati was one of the biggest moves in recent MotoGP history, as he ended his long-standing partnership with the Japanese manufacturer in search of a more competitive package.

Marquez vs. Bagnaia: The Ultimate Rivalry?

With Marquez now officially donning Ducati colors, the spotlight is firmly on the brewing rivalry between him and Bagnaia. The Italian has established himself as Ducati’s golden boy, securing back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023 before narrowly missing out on the 2024 crown to Pramac Racing’s Jorge Martin.

Bagnaia has built a strong foundation within the Ducati factory team, but Marquez’s presence threatens to shift the dynamics. The Spanish rider, known for his aggressive style and relentless ambition, will be keen to assert himself within the squad. The clash of these two titans is expected to be one of the defining narratives of the 2025 season.

Livery and Sponsorship Changes

One notable aspect of the launch was Marquez’s new look. While he appeared in full Ducati gear for the first time, his long-standing association with Red Bull had to be put on hold due to Ducati’s exclusive sponsorship deal with Monster Energy. This change marks a significant shift for the Spanish superstar, who has been synonymous with Red Bull branding throughout his MotoGP career.

As the 2025 season approaches, all eyes will be on Ducati and its star-studded lineup. With a formidable machine and two of the sport’s biggest names on board, the team is poised to be the focal point of MotoGP once again.
